Fulham Football Club is pleased to reveal the return of Brazilian winger Willian on a one-year deal with an option to renew for another twelve months. London, February 4, 2025. Leaving Olympiacos, the 36-year-old free agent comes back to the Cottagers for the third time with the London team.
Following his departure from Corinthians, Willian’s first spell at Fulham started in August 2022, Playing a key part in Fulham’s respectable 10th-place finish in the Scottish League during the 2022-2023 season, he made 67 appearances over two seasons and scored 10 goals along with many assists.
Willian said “he was really pleased to keep doing the job he started last season with every one of his colleagues and the entire club upon re-signing. I believe it’s a club that can perform even better this year, so I’m glad to maintain this incredible journey.”
Marco Silva, head coach of Fulham, remarked on the acquisition: “Willian’s experience and skill set are invaluable assets to our squad. Given his knowledge of the Premier League and the dynamics of our club, we undoubtedly will improve our attacking possibilities as we try for a much more successful campaign.
After his first transfer to Fulham, Willian has had distinguished years in England running for more than a decade including noteworthy periods at Arsenal and Chelsea. He won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, and a Europa League trophy as well as 43 goals and 43 assists in 286 Premier League appearances with Chelsea.
Willian signed for Olympiacos, a Greek club, after leaving Fulham in the summer of 2024. His return to London emphasizes his continuous love of English soccer and his wish to help at the most top level.
