Victor Boniface, the prominent Super Eagles forward currently playing for Bayer Leverkusen, has categorically denied recent reports alleging the end of his four-year relationship with Norwegian partner, Rikke Hermine.
Speculation about the couple’s relationship status intensified following social media activity where both Boniface and Hermine unfollowed each other on Instagram. Additionally, Hermine set her profile to private and removed several photos featuring Boniface, leading to widespread conjecture about a possible separation.
Further fueling the rumors, certain media outlets claimed that the alleged breakup was due to disagreements over a prenuptial agreement. Reports suggested that Hermine had insisted on a legal marriage without a prenuptial contract, which Boniface purportedly declined to protect his financial interests.
Addressing these allegations, Boniface took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his frustration and to debunk the circulating falsehoods. In a now-deleted post, he stated, “Stop posting fake sh*t. You guys know nothing about… Una go just carry phone without knowing wetin dey sup just post. No be everybody be like una sister. So respect urself. Everything you guys say about her are all lies.”
Despite the online speculation, Boniface has remained focused on his professional commitments. He was recently seen in high spirits during training sessions with Bayer Leverkusen, indicating that the off-field rumors have not impacted his performance or dedication to the sport.
The couple’s relationship, which began in 2021 during Boniface’s tenure with Norwegian club FK Bodø/Glimt, has been under public scrutiny, especially given their once-active presence on social media.
