Sevilla FC is delighted to confirm the acquisition of Nigerian wonderkid Akor Adams in what constitutes the most telling capture by the club as the team goes on in a high gear strengthening process ahead of the 2024/2025 campaign. The explosive and clinical finisher, aerially powerful, 24-year-old striker joins the Andalusian giants from Lillestrøm SK in Norway, where he attracted wide attention after his impressive performances scoring goals.
Akor, from Benue State, Nigeria, has been on the radar of Sevilla for over a year, with the club’s scouting network identifying him as a player with immense potential to thrive in La Liga. His signing is a testament to Sevilla’s commitment to blending youth, talent, and ambition as they aim to compete at the highest levels domestically and in European competitions. The deal reportedly worth €15 million includes a five-year contract with an option for an additional year, underlining the club’s long-term vision for the Nigerian international.

Such fantastic performances in the Eliteserien, where he scored 25 goals in 50 games, earned him a call-up to the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, in 2023. He instantly became one of the key men in the squad, contributing to their recent successes in African qualifiers.
