After the FA Cup Third round over the past weekend, The Premier League returns with a midweek round of fixtures, featuring several exciting matchups.

Arsenal v Tottenham: Arsenal, who were eliminated from the FA Cup by Manchester United on penalties, will focus on the league as their primary chance for silverware. They face a Tottenham side that narrowly avoided an upset against non-league Tamworth in the FA Cup, being taken to extra time. Arsenal have a strong record against Tottenham, winning six of their last eight Premier League games against their north London rivals. Noteworthy is that Arsenal are unbeaten in 13 North London Derbies at the Emirates.

Chelsea v Bournemouth: Chelsea are unbeaten in their last six games against Bournemouth (W4 D2), but the Cherries are on an eight-game unbeaten run in the league. Chelsea’s Palmer has created more chances than any other player in the PL this season (57), while Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last eight PL games (W5 D3). The Blues have only kept one clean sheet in their last seven league games.

Everton v Aston Villa: David Moyes makes his return to Everton as they host Aston Villa, with the Toffees seeking to improve their poor home form. Everton have scored just 15 goals in their 19 Premier League games, the second-lowest tally in the league behind Southampton’s 12. Villa, meanwhile, have lost six of their last seven away games in all competitions.

Leicester City v Crystal Palace: Leicester City aim to bounce back from a poor run of form against Crystal Palace, who have drawn three of their last five away games. The Eagles have been unbeaten in their last four games in all competitions, including an FA Cup victory over Stockport County. Leicester City‘s recent form has seen them drop into the relegation zone, with just two points separating them from safety.

Liverpool v Nottingham Forest: Liverpool, the league leaders, visit third-placed Nottingham Forest, who have won each of their last six Premier League games. Forest’s Wood has scored 12 goals in the league this season, including in each of his last two games. Liverpool’s Gakpo has also been in fine form, scoring in each of the Reds’ last three Premier League games.

Manchester United v Southampton: Manchester United aim to build on their FA Cup victory over Arsenal against a struggling Southampton side. The Red Devils have won just one of their last five Premier League games, but showed promising signs in their draw against Liverpool and FA Cup win over Arsenal. Southampton, meanwhile, remain bottom of the league with just one victory from their 20 games.

Newcastle United v Wolverhampton Wanderers: Newcastle United seek to extend their eight-game winning streak across all competitions against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Magpies have won their last five Premier League games, a run that has seen them climb into fifth place. Wolves, meanwhile, have lost just one of their five games under new manager Vítor Pereira.

Brentford v Manchester City: Brentford host Manchester City, with the Bees seeking to end their three-game losing streak at home. Manchester City have lost just one of their last five games, and are seeking to make it four consecutive victories for the first time since October. City’s recent form has seen them score 14 goals in their last three games.

West Ham United v Fulham: West Ham United, under new manager Graham Potter, host Fulham, who are seeking to extend their unbeaten run to five games. The Hammers have won five of their last six meetings against Fulham, but are without three of their main strikers due to injury. Fulham, meanwhile, have drawn three of their last five away games.

Ipswich Town v Brighton & Hove Albion: Ipswich Town seek to move out of the relegation zone against a Brighton side that has not won in eight Premier League games. The Tractor Boys have won three of their 20 league games, but could move up to 16th with a victory. Brighton, meanwhile, have drawn six of their last eight Premier League games, and are seeking to revive their European ambitions.
