Tottenham Hotspur’s dismal season hit a new low as they slumped to a fourth consecutive Premier League loss, falling 2-1 to struggling Leicester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The home fans voiced their discontent with chants of “we want Levy out” aimed at chairman Daniel Levy, as Ange Postecoglou’s injury-hit side conceded twice in four minutes straight after half-time. The defeat was met with boos from the crowd at the final whistle.

Tottenham had taken the lead in the first half through Richarlison’s header from Pedro Porro’s cross. The Brazilian forward celebrated by wrapping the ball under his shirt, suggesting a baby is on the way.

However, Leicester fought back after the break. Jamie Vardy equalized just 57 seconds into the second half, converting a low cross from Bobby De Cordova-Reid. The goal was a straightforward one, with Vardy easily beating the Tottenham defense.

Two minutes later, Bilal El Khannouss scored what proved to be the decisive goal. The midfielder was given too much space and time, allowing him to find the bottom corner from outside the box. The goal capped off a dismal second-half display from Tottenham, who failed to muster a meaningful response.

The defeat marks Tottenham’s fourth Premier League loss in a row, and their season continues to unravel. Despite injuries and fatigue, the performance was widely criticized, with many calling for Postecoglou’s removal.

However, the underlying issue of chairman Daniel Levy’s leadership and the club’s ownership structure remains a major concern. The lack of backing for Postecoglou in the transfer market, with zero outfield signings in January, has raised questions about the club’s commitment to success.

As for Postecoglou’s defenders, it is becoming increasingly difficult to argue against his removal. The team’s performance has been embarrassing, and the lack of support from the club’s hierarchy has not helped.
