The first half ended scoreless, thanks largely to Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi’s impressive saves, particularly denying Lautaro Martinez on multiple occasions. However, Inter broke through four minutes into the second half when Dumfries scored with an overhead kick.
Dumfries sealed the win 12 minutes later with a powerful strike off the crossbar, leaving Atalanta to endure late pressure but ultimately unable to find the net. Inter will face either Juventus or AC Milan in the final on Monday.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta introduced Ademola Lookman and Charles De Ketelaere in an attempt to respond, but Inter’s defense held firm. The win marked Inter’s seventh consecutive victory over Atalanta, who are now without a win in 14 matches against the Nerazzurri.
Inter will face either AC Milan or Juventus in the Italian Super Cup final on Monday, as they aim to claim their fourth consecutive title and equal Juventus’ record nine titles.
