Chelsea Cruise to through Top Spot in the UEFA Conference League with 5-1 Thrashing of Shamrock Rovers.

Chelsea sealed their position at the top of the UEFA Conference League League Phase with a resounding 5-1 victory over Shamrock Rovers at Stamford Bridge. The Blues’ perfect record in the competition remains intact, with six wins from six matches, 26 goals scored, and just five conceded.

Marc Guiu stole the show with a first-half hat-trick, while Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Marc Cucurella also found the back of the net.

Shamrock Rovers’ lone goal came courtesy of Markus Poom’s volley from the edge of the box.

The match began with Chelsea dominating possession, and they took the lead when Darragh Burns’ misdirected header allowed Guiu for an easy tap in.

Rovers equalized shortly after, but Guiu’s second goal, facilitated by Daniel Cleary’s underhit backpass, restored Chelsea’s advantage.

Before the break, Dewsbury-Hall and Guiu added two more goals, with the latter completing his hat-trick just seconds before the whistle.

The second half saw Chelsea introduce several youngsters, but it was Cucurella who scored the fifth and final goal of the game.

Chelsea’s commanding performance has raised questions about who can stop them from winning the competition.

Fiorentina, who finished third in the league phase, may pose a challenge, but it would still be a surprise if Chelsea were to be defeated. Enzo Maresca’s side appears to be on a mission, and their dominance in the competition thus far has been nothing short of impressive.

Up next for Chelsea is a trip to Everton this weekend in the Premier League after recording five successive wins last weekend against Brentford.
