The 2025 edition of the FIFA Club World Cup™ is set to feature an expanded format, bringing together 32 elite teams from around the world. Scheduled to take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13, 2025, this tournament aims to elevate the stature of club football on a global scale. The competition will include 12 teams from Europe, six from South America, and four each from Asia, Africa, and North and Central America, with additional representatives from Oceania and the host nation.
FIFA anticipates generating approximately $2 billion in revenues from this expanded tournament, half of which will be distributed as prize money among the participating clubs. To ensure the tournament’s global reach and financial viability, FIFA has secured a comprehensive broadcasting agreement with DAZN, a leading global sports streaming service. This partnership is expected to contribute significantly to the tournament’s projected revenues, enabling FIFA to offer such a substantial prize pool.
