Key Fixtures:

Manchester City vs. Plymouth Argyle: Championship side Plymouth Argyle, who pulled off a stunner in the Premier League with their 1-0 win over current leaders Liverpool at Home Park, visit the Etihad Stadium for a “David versus Goliath” tie-up against seven-time FA Cup winners Manchester City. Plymouth’s win over Liverpool was sealed with a penalty from Ryan Hardie and went down as one of the biggest FA Cup upsets in recent times.

Manchester United vs. Fulham: Manchester United welcomes Fulham to Old Trafford in the quarterfinals of the competition. Defending champions Manchester United will host their Premier League counterparts Fulham at Old Trafford. The Red Devils advanced after a dramatic 2-1 win against Leicester City, where Harry Maguire’s stoppage-time header proved decisive. Fulham will be keen to give holders a run for their money in this tantalizing fixture.

Newcastle United vs Brighton & Hove Albion: Newcastle United welcome Brighton to St. James Park in this all-PL tie, and it should be quite good since both clubs have impressive looks this term thus far, which makes this clash worth having.

Aston Villa vs. Cardiff City: In-form Aston Villa, fresh from their victory over Tottenham Hotspur, are to host the Championship side at Villa Park, and the form of Villa under Unai Emery has gone on to become one of the talking points this season.

Preston North End vs. Burnley: The fifth round has a regional spice as Preston North End welcome their Lancashire neighbors Burnley, with both teams gunning to go through to the last eight to further extend the local dominance.

Crystal Palace vs. Millwall: This is a South London derby with Crystal Palace hosting Millwall. Palace made their way through courtesy of a 2-0 win over Doncaster Rovers, with Daniel Muñoz and Justin Devenny scoring for them. The return of Adam Wharton to the team after injury was a big boost for them.

AFC Bournemouth vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers: This is another all-Premier League clash; this time, Bournemouth welcomes Wolves to its turf. Both teams will see this as an important chance to move on in the competition.

Exeter City or Nottingham Forest v Ipswich Town: The winner of the pending Fourth Round tie between Exeter City and Nottingham Forest will host Ipswich Town. Nottingham Forest, lying third in the Premier League, are the highest-ranked team remaining in the competition.

Match Schedule:

Ties in the Fifth Round are scheduled for the weekend of March 1-2, 2025. The exact dates and kick-off times will be confirmed later, after consultation with clubs, broadcast partners, and local authorities.
