This accolade comes as a result of fan votes across various social media platforms, recognizing Lookman’s exceptional strike during the UEFA Champions League match against Real Madrid on December 10, 2024.
In the thrilling encounter at the Gewiss Stadium, Lookman showcased his remarkable skill and composure. In the 65th minute, he received a precise cross-field pass from Lazar Samardžić. Demonstrating deft control, Lookman maneuvered past defender Lucas Vázquez with agility before unleashing a precise right-footed shot. The ball threaded through the defender’s legs and curled past goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois into the near post, exemplifying Lookman’s technical finesse.
The competition for the Goal of the Month was intense. Charles De Ketelaere’s decisive goal against Empoli in Serie A secured second place with 38% of the votes, highlighting the high-caliber performances within the squad.
