- After a run of 10 consecutive games without a win (six defeats, four draws). Moses Simon terrific strike was enough for Nantes to earn a hard-fought 1-0 win against visiting Tennes in Ligue 1 on Sunday.
- Sadiq Umar was an unused substitute for Real Sociedad in their emphatic 3-0 win away to Leganes on Sunday.
- The in-form Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were both in action for Fulham as they held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon to dent the gunners’ hope of closing in on leaders, Liverpool.
- Victor Osimhen was on target from the spot after being brought down inside the box in the closing stages of the first half as Galatasaray beat their hosts Sivaspor 3-2 in a thrilling Turkish Super Lig clash on Sunday.
- Ola Aina was impressive for Nottingham Forest in their 3-2 win against Manchester United late Saturday night, earning a 7/10 rating for the phenomenal performance, while Taiwo Awoniyi had to come on in the 90th minute to help see out the game.
- Wilfred Ndidi was in action for Leicester City who came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Brighton in Ruud van Nistelrooy’s second game in charge, although the Nigerian midfielder was forced off in the 52nd minute due to an injury and replaced by Oliver Skipp.
- Frank Onyeka in what was his 11th appearance this season played all 90 minutes as his team Augsburg drew 2-2 with Frankfurt on Saturday.
- Nigerian winger Nathan Tella was in action as Bayer Leverkusen defeated St. Pauli 2-1 in Saturday’s Bundesliga game. Tella did see a goal of his own chalked off by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
- Victor Boniface didn’t see any action in Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-1 victory against St. Pauli due to injury.
- Joe Aribo was in action (introduced for James Bree before the start of the second half) for struggling Southampton who lost 1-0 away to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday. Southampton remain bottom on just five points in the league table after 15 games played.
- Ademola Lookman was once again the hero for Atalanta, as he headed home the winner three minutes from time in a 2-1 win against AC Milan. Atalanta currently tops the Serie A table.
- Kelechi Iheanacho only saw one minute of action in the closing stages of the game against Atletico Madrid, where his team Sevilla lost 4-3 away from home.
