Liverpool continued their dominant run in the Premier League with a resounding 4-1 victory over Ipswich at Anfield. Cody Gakpo’s brace and goals from Dominic Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah sealed the win, maintaining Liverpool’s six-point lead at the top.

The hosts got off to a flying start, with Szoboszlai’s 11th-minute strike from the edge of the box setting the tone. The Hungarian midfielder’s goal was a sign of things to come, as Liverpool’s attacking quartet of Szoboszlai, Salah, Gakpo, and Trent Alexander-Arnold caused havoc for the Ipswich defense.

Salah doubled the lead with a clinical finish from an acute angle, following a Gakpo cross. The Egyptian forward’s goal was his latest contribution to Liverpool’s title push, and he continues to be a key player for the Reds.

Gakpo then scored the third himself shortly before halftime, after Christian Walton had denied Szoboszlai. The Dutch international’s goal capped off an impressive first-half display from Liverpool, who went into the break with a commanding 3-0 lead.

Gakpo added his second and Liverpool’s fourth in the 66th minute, heading in a sublime cross from Alexander-Arnold. The right-back’s delivery was pinpoint accurate, and Gakpo’s header was a testament to his aerial ability.

Ipswich pulled a goal back through Jacob Greaves’ header from a corner, but by then, the game had become a one-sided affair. Alexander-Arnold even struck the post with a curling shot, highlighting Liverpool’s dominance.

The win ensures Liverpool maintain their six-point cushion over second-placed Arsenal, who also won 1-0 at Wolves. Ipswich, meanwhile, remain 18th, and their woes were compounded by a serious-looking knee injury to winger Wes Burns in the first half.
