Manchester City Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Brazilian defender Vitor Reis from Palmeiras for a fee of £29.4 million.
Vitor Reis, 19, has emerged as one of Brazil’s most promising defensive talents. Born on January 12, 2006, in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, he began his football journey at the R10 Academy before joining Palmeiras’ youth setup in 2016. Progressing through the ranks, Reis made his professional debut in 2024, accumulating 18 league appearances and netting one goal. His leadership qualities were evident as he captained Brazil’s Under-17 national team, showcasing his potential on the international stage.
The transfer agreement underscores Manchester City’s commitment to nurturing young talent and reinforcing the squad’s defensive options. Reis is the second central defender to join the club during this transfer window, following the acquisition of Abdukodir Khusanov from RC Lens.
