Real Madrid’s midfield sensation, Jude Bellingham, has been honored as La Liga EA SPORTS Player of the Month for December 2024. This accolade marks Bellingham’s third Player of the Month award since joining Real Madrid, underscoring his pivotal role in the team’s recent successes.
Throughout December, Bellingham showcased exceptional form, contributing four goals and two assists in five domestic league matches. His scoring spree began with a penalty in a 2-0 victory over Getafe CF, followed by goals in subsequent matches, including a crucial opener in a 3-0 win against Girona FC and a vital strike in the 3-3 draw with Rayo Vallecano. These performances have been instrumental in maintaining Real Madrid’s competitive edge in La Liga.
Reflecting on this achievement, Bellingham expressed his gratitude: “It’s very special for me to receive this award from the fans and to know that they appreciate my performances. I’ve improved my way of playing this month, and it’s good to have this recognition.” He added, “I’m focused on the upcoming challenges, but I appreciate having this acknowledgment. It’s important what comes until the end of the season. I’m scoring more goals now, playing much better, and feeling very confident. Now I have to keep going.”
Since his transfer from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023, Bellingham has rapidly become a cornerstone of Real Madrid’s midfield. His consistent performances have not only earned him individual accolades but have also significantly contributed to the team’s pursuit of domestic and European honors. In the 2023-24 season, Bellingham was pivotal in Real Madrid clinching the La Liga title, scoring 19 league goals and providing six assists. His outstanding contributions were recognized as he was voted La Liga’s Player of the Season.
