Santos Futebol Clube is thrilled to announce the successful negotiation of a six-month loan agreement to bring Neymar Jr. back to his boyhood club.
Neymar, who began his illustrious career at Santos, has expressed a strong desire to return to his roots. The agreement comes after Neymar’s tenure with Al Hilal, during which he faced challenges, including a ruptured ACL in October 2023 and subsequent limited appearances.
Santos FC President Marcelo Teixeira stated, “We are delighted to welcome Neymar back home. His return is not only a testament to his enduring connection with Santos but also a significant boost to our club’s aspirations.”
Neymar’s last appearance for Santos was in May 2013. The official announcement of Neymar’s return is anticipated this week, with all parties eager to finalize the remaining formalities.
