Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian international striker currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has declined a transfer offer from Manchester United, opting to fulfill his season-long commitment with the Turkish club.

Since joining Galatasaray in September 2024, Osimhen has been instrumental in the team’s success, contributing 13 goals and 4 assists in 16 appearances. His performance has propelled Galatasaray to the top of the Süper Lig, maintaining an eight-point lead over rivals Fenerbahçe.

Manchester United, seeking to bolster their attacking options, approached Napoli with a substantial offer for Osimhen during the January transfer window. Despite the opportunity to join the Premier League, Osimhen chose to honor his loan agreement with Galatasaray, emphasizing his commitment to the club’s objectives for the remainder of the season.

This decision has reportedly caused frustration within Napoli’s management, particularly with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who viewed the potential transfer as a lucrative opportunity. The Italian club had anticipated a significant financial gain from the proposed deal with Manchester United.

Osimhen’s choice reflects his dedication to Galatasaray and his desire to continue contributing to their successful campaign. His commitment has endeared him to Galatasaray supporters, who appreciate his loyalty and on-field contributions.
