Beşiktaş JK is pleased to announce the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the club’s new head coach. The Norwegian manager has agreed to a one-and-a-half-year contract, marking his return to football management after his tenure at Manchester United.

Solskjaer, 51, is expected to arrive in Istanbul tomorrow and will be present at Vodafone Park to watch Beşiktaş’s upcoming match against Samsunspor on Saturday. His presence aims to boost the team’s morale and provide him with an opportunity to assess the squad ahead of taking on managerial duties.

Prior to this appointment, Solskjaer was engaged as a match analyst with UEFA, staying connected to the sport while awaiting the right managerial opportunity. His return to the sidelines with Beşiktaş is anticipated to bring a fresh perspective and renewed vigor to the team’s strategies and performance.

Beşiktaş JK President, Ahmet Nur Çebi, expressed his enthusiasm about the new appointment, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to the Beşiktaş family. His experience at the highest levels of football and his commitment to developing young talent align perfectly with our club’s vision. We believe he will lead our team to new heights.”

Solskjaer himself shared his excitement, saying, “I am honored to take on the role of head coach at Beşiktaş JK. This club has a rich history and passionate supporters. I look forward to working with the players, staff, and fans to achieve great things together.”
