Chippa United Football Club is pleased to announce that goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has resumed full training with the team, demonstrating remarkable strength and professionalism in the wake of a personal tragedy earlier this month.
The Nigerian shot-stopper temporarily stepped away from football following heartbreaking news in early January about the passing of his mother, allowing him time to grieve and focus on personal matters. Despite the difficult circumstances, Nwabali has now returned to the club, fully committed to contributing to the team’s ambitions for the season.
Speaking on his return, Nwabali expressed gratitude for the unwavering support he received from his teammates, coaches, and fans. “It has been a tough period for me, but the love and encouragement from the Chippa United family and supporters have been a source of great strength. I am ready to give my all for the club and honor the trust they’ve placed in me,” he said.
Chippa United’s head coach also commended Nwabali’s resilience and dedication. “Stanley is an important member of our squad, not just because of his skills on the pitch but also for his leadership and character.
