Juventus Football Club is delighted to confirm the acquisition of Portuguese defender Alberto Costa from Vitória Sport Clube. The 21-year-old right-back has committed to a contract with the Bianconeri until June 30, 2029.
Born on September 29, 2003, in Santo Tirso, Portugal, Costa stands at 186 cm and is recognized for his robust physical presence and technical prowess. His versatility and tactical intelligence have been evident during his tenure in the Primeira Liga, Portugal’s top-flight football league.
Costa’s journey began in the youth ranks of Vitória SC, where he progressed to the first team, making significant contributions this season with 10 league appearances, four national cup matches, and seven international fixtures. Notably, he scored his inaugural goal in the UEFA Conference League, underscoring his potential on the European stage.
The financial terms of the transfer include an initial fee of €12.5 million, payable over four financial years, supplemented by €1.3 million in ancillary costs. The agreement also encompasses potential bonuses up to €2.5 million, contingent on performance objectives, bringing the total possible investment to €16.3 million.
