Dele Alli has officially confirmed his departure from Everton, expressing gratitude for the support he received during his challenging time at the club. In a heartfelt message shared on social media, the 28-year-old midfielder acknowledged the difficulties he faced while striving to regain match fitness after a series of injuries and personal struggles. He stated, “It’s been an incredibly tough journey… I cannot thank the Everton staff enough for their hard work”.

Alli joined Everton in January 2022 but made only 13 appearances, with his last competitive outing occurring in February 2023 while on loan at Besiktas. His contract with Everton expired last summer, yet he continued training at Finch Farm as he sought to prove his fitness.

Looking ahead, Alli is set to begin training with Italian club Como on December 26, under the management of Cesc Fabregas. This opportunity represents a fresh start for Alli as he aims to revive his career in Serie A. He remarked, “2025 may set me on a new path with some exciting opportunities”.

The former England international hopes to overcome past challenges and is determined to make a significant impact in Italy. As he embarks on this new chapter, Alli wishes all the best to Everton, stating, “I want to wish everyone at this amazing club the very best of luck and hopefully we will see each other again soon”.
